Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles records strong growth in Western Europe

Volkswagen announced the increased sales of Amarok, Caddy, T5 and Crafter models in Western Europe by 6.2 per cent during the first five months of the year, taking total vehicles shipped to 117,500  where last year was 110,600.

Bram Schot(Member of the Board of Management Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for Sales and Marketing) says that ” The economic recovery in the Western European vehicle market is noticeable. In our main sales markets customer demand for our highly successful models continues to grow – in May orders increased strongly again. Our production plants are running at full steam.”

Here we can see that for Volkswagen commercial vehicles including skoda, Porsche etc.. have increased great percentage compare to 2013.

In Western European country, the models of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles recorded 3.1% in Germany, Great Britain – 16.5%, Spain – 43.1% and Eastern Europe – 1.7%

However, as a result of the economically difficult market environment in Brazil and the dismounting of the T2, shipments of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in South America fell by 41.3 per cent to 17,100 units which last year was 29,100. So Globally the brand’s shipments fell by 3.3 per cent to 178,400 light commercial vehicles (last year: 184,000).
