UK car production is been increase by 2.8% last month July as UK have made more than 130,000 cars, according to SMMT.
In total 2014 year car production increase by 3.4% with 923,884 cars were made in UK(including July).
Also export rate been increase by 2.9% last month, taking total number exported since 2010 past the 5 million mark.
According to SMMT(Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) forecast that this year’s annual production will bear 1972’s record of 1.92 million cars by 2017.
This is because new models being made in UK instead of importing so it increase popularity of premium and specialist brand such as Jaguar Land Rover.
“A major milestone and testament to the burgeoning reputation of UK automotive excellence and demand for British-made cars.” said by SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes.
Top Ten best selling cars in June
If we see first half year sale then Ford Fiesta has become best selling cars in June with sold around 11,213 models. In Second number its coming Vauxhall Corsa sold around 7,961, Third is Ford Focus sold 7,339 models, Forth VW Golf sold 6,546 models, Fifth Vauxhall Astra sold 6,249 models, Six Nissan Qashqai sold 5,356 models, Seventh is Vauxhall Insignia sold 4,660 models, Eight is Fiat 500 sold 4,177, Ninth is BMW 3 series sold 3,961 and Tenth is Audi A3 sold 3,893 models in June.
Looking at the sales record, Howard archer, chief UK and European economist at HIS Global Insight said “looking largely bright for the motor industry.
