Tesla Model S has achieved dual five star maximum safety ratings

The top electric saloon, Tesla Model S has recently achieved a maximum five star crash safety ratings from the Euro NCAP and NHTSA.

Now, it’s a proof that Tesla Model S is one of the safest car features all the new and high standard driver safety features. Model S from American car maker, Tesla, is become one of just few cars have ever achieved five star safety ratings from both Euro NCAP and US National Highway Traffic safety Administrator(NHTSA). The NHTSA standard is very tough and Tesla feel proud for its Model S has achieved top five starts in every NHTSA sub category including side impact, frontal impact and rollover. Apart from Model S, there are only two other cars have earned the same recognition since 2011.

Tesla Model S is designed to intelligently anticipate and react to potentially dangerous situations that happened to earn dual five star ratings for Model S. It has a low center of gravity because its battery pack, the largest mass in the car, is positioned underneath the passenger compartment, making rollover extremely unlikely. Its large front crumple zone because of the lack of an engine means it adsorb more energy from a frontal impact.

Tesla Model S comes with all the latest safety and driver assistant systems including new autopilot hardware consists of 12 ultrasonic sensors that can sense up to 16 feet around the car, forward looking camera, a forward radar and a digitally controlled high precision electric brake boost. The lane departure warning and speed limit warning with active safety systems comes as standard. Tesla going to introduce other features such as forward and slide collision braking and avoidance, blind spot warning and automatic emergency braking.

Tesla Model S is the car that you never seen it before. It’s all electric saloon is as quick as Porsche, eco friendly as Nissan Leaf and luxurious as Mercedes-Benz. The car has excellent 17 inch touch screen in center console rather than traditional button. Tesla Model S even get a pair of seats in the boot to make this as a seven seater. Offers two choice of 60kwh and 85kWh battery option. 60kWh battery provides 208 mileage range, accelerates 0-62mph in just 5.9 seconds and has top speed of 120mph where as the 85kWh battery offers full 311 miles, accelerates 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and has top speed of 130mph.

Verdict :

Most of the electric cars in the UK are supermini sized and struggle to hit 100 mileage but Model S is different, targets larger models that has all the good looks, luxurious feeling and high mileage makes one of the good electric executive car to drive.
