Seat's fist ever fast estate – Leon Cupra ST revealed

Seat has introduced its first ever high performance estate – the Leon Cupra ST, offers new sporty character and performance of the hatchback with new dose of practicality.

The new Cupra has been designed with company’s full Spanish emotional design – and delivered new Cupra one step further. New Cupra ST is all set to be launched in March 2015.

Its upmarket cabin comes with a much-improved facia and latest MQB architecture that includes new magic-hover sat-nav tricks access by fingers and gadgets to keep your family entertained and safe on the road. So whether chasing the horizon or on a business trip you’ll be driving in comfort!

Seat Leon Cupra ST rearviewThe Cupra brand of the Seat mostly known for power, performance and dynamics – and new Leon Cupra ST offers the same. Powered by powerful 280PS 2.0 TSI four-cylinder engine that accelerates 0-62mph in just 6.0 seconds. Available in choice of six-speed manual or six-speed DSG automatic transmission. Seat claims up to 42.8mpg (42.2mph – manual) and 154g/km (157g/km – manual)of CO2 are achievable in automatic gearbox.

Like the hatch version, the ST Cupra also comes with a front-axle differential lock which able to send 100 percent of power to either of the front wheels depending on the traction. As standard, the ST Cupra uses the same chasis set up as three door and five door hatch Leon Cupras, includes – dynamic chassis control, front axle differential lock, progressive steering and a more dynamic ESC tune.

New Cupra ST comes with standard kit includes – 19 inch alloy wheels, a 5.8 inch colour touch screen, full LED headlamps, ambient lightning and Cupra Drive Profile. There is optional £2,025 ‘Sub8 Performance Pack’ available, which adds 19 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, larger Brembo brake callipers.

Pricing haven’t been announced yet but the Leon ST Cupra is likely to command a premium of around a £1,000 over the hatch, making a list price of around £28,500.

Seat Leon ST Cupra will be available to order in March 2015, with prices announced nearer launch.
