New revised Volkswagen Scirocco started to take order from 8th July to make deliveries in October. The VW Scirocco made its public debut in March at Geneva Motor show and 40 years after, the original Scirocco comes with new range of advanced engines to improve fuel efficiency up to 19%
New modernised look
The new Volkswagen Scirocco have got new modernised and refined look with headlights, LED tail lights and bumper styling. The bumper has been reshaped to appear lower and more purposeful with bespoke bumpers and 19-inch ‘Cadiz’ alloy wheels.
Dashboard is modified with new look dials and auxiliary instrument cluster, consisting of chronometer, charge pressure and oil temperature gauges.
Available in both diesel and petrol with six new turbocharged direct-injection engines meet EU6 emissions standards and return between 67.3 and 35.3 mpg.
Consists of a 1.4-litre petrol with 125 PS and a new 2.0-litre 180 PS unit which replaces the previous 1.4-litre 160 PS unit to sufficient increase capacity and power.
Two diesel engines are both 2.0-litre units, with choice of 150 PS or 184 PS, and up to 68.9 mpg. The 1.4-litre TSI comes only with a six-speed manual gearbox, while all other engines come with a standard six-speed manual gearbox with the option of a six-speed DSG gearbox.
Four range of trim levels available in New VW Scirocco – Scirocco, GT, R-Line and R.
1) Standard VW Scirocco – This is standard entry level version comes with an RCD 510 touch screen infotainment system with DAB digital radio with six-disc CD changer, standard entertainment features such as – SD card reader, MDI iPod, USB audio connectors and Bluetooth with air conditioning, automatic headlights and wipers, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, 17-inch ‘Long Beach’ alloy wheels height-adjustable sports seats, and a multifunction leather-covered steering wheel.
2) GT – GT model of VW Scirocco includes all features of standard Scirocco adds up with RNS 315 touch screen navigation system, 2Zone climate control, dark-tinted rear windows, 18-inch ‘Interlagos’ alloy wheels, front fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, a black roof lining, ‘chequered flag’ dash inserts and aluminium-look pedals and cloth and Alcantara upholstery.
3) R line – R line model includes all features of GT line with R line specific bumpers , R line side skirts and R line steering wheel with 19 inch alloy wheels, ‘carbon-look’ dash inserts and sports leather seats.
4) R – This is the top range model of VW Scirocco includes all above features with unique exterior styling kit, chrome-look door mirror caps, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, 19-inch ‘Cadiz’ alloy wheels, R-specific sports seats, 10 mm lower sports suspension, DCC dynamic chassis control and a colour multifunction trip computer.
