With more stylist and sporty looks, Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake revealed, which will go on sale in the UK in January 2015.

Here, we have details of all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA shooting brake and official pictures for the first time. The CLA shooting brake features completely unique look with lower overall height and the elongated coupé-style roof contour line.

The new CLA shooting brake joining the successful family of compact models, the range includes : B-Class Sports Tourer, A-Class, CLA Class coupe and compact GLA-class SUV. Like its big brother CLS Shooting Brake, the CLA Shooting brake designed for Mercedes lovers who are looking outside of the mainstream for a car that highlights high utility value.

Design and Styling :

The CLA shooting brake follows the styling closely with CLS Shooting Brake and features of CLA coupe. Designed as a sports car with five seats and a large tailgate. It’s a smaller version of CLA Coupe features long bonnet, sleek frameless side windows and diamond radiator grille.

Interior :

Like the saloon, the shooting brake will be offered with four trims : Sport, AMG Sport, Engineered by AMG and AMG. Mercedes is also releasing a special ‘orange art’ edition with bright orange colour detailing inside and out. The optional panoramic roof with its large glazed area provides for an especially bright ambience in the interior.

Engines :

The CLA Shooting Brake will be available with two diesel and three petrol units. All engines are powerful and impresses with low noise levels and low emissions. All the versions are equipped as standard with the ECO stop and start function and Euro 6 compliant. The most efficient option in the launch line up, the CLA 200 CDI, offers amazing 72.3mpg with co2 emissions of 101g/km.

Practicality and Reliability :

The CLA shooting brake represents CLA’s design aspiration and promises special recreational value. At 94.7 cm the rear headroom space is 4cm higher than the four door CLA saloon designed to access second row seats easily.

The load compartment offers 495 litres capacity and that could extend up to 1354 litres by folding rear seats down. With the addition of an electric tailgate as standard of a load compartment package that gives you easy access using the load compartment, 12V socket and aluminium load rails.

Safety and Security :

The CLA shooting brake highlights the important collision prevention assist system designed to cut down up to 30 percent serious rear end collisions compared to that do not have the system in the cars. ‘Mercedes Connect Me’ system comes as standard in certain European countries, features accident recovery, maintenance management and brake down management that connects emergency call centre and sends the position and condition of the vehicle to the rescue centre.
