Kia Soul Trail’ster : Design and Styling
The new Trail’ster looks to be an amazingly stylist car that takes on a new level of expression, efficiency and capability.
With bold and rugged styling, the latest Soul has raised ride height, funkier bodywork and aluminium skid-plate and body cladding. A new Trail’ster is fitted with a fully retractable canvas roof. The Trail’ster sits almost 6.5cm higher than a standard Soul and comes with Pirelli snow tyres.

The cabin materials are inspired by snow sports gear and equipment. The overall trim and colour palette combines brown leather and aluminium accents to relay an earthy but upscale environment.
The Trail’ster uses an advanced LED (light emitting diode) technology to create a strong and unique lighting identity from top to bottom and front to back. At the front, the Kia grille bars extend through the K900 style projector headlamps.
The inside, the Trail’ster getse a brown leather and aluminium cabin design, the design of which Kia sayus was inspired by snow sports gear such as ski goggles and s snowboarding clothing.
Engine & Equipment features
The Kia Soul Trail’ster is powered by 185bhp (brake horse power) 1.6 litre turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine and 35bhp electric motor mated to a six speed automatic gearbox. The car has been designed to drive front wheels via petrol engine and rear wheels via an electric motor.
The electric motor is used as power assistance and to make it four-wheel drive. Designed to suit all weather and off-road situations. It also helps to improve fuel economy over standard all-wheel drive for about 25% to 30% over a US spec 2.0 litre petrol Soul.
The company has not revealed any official information about the production but expect to have this Soul Trail’ster one day as the Trailster concept is a near future look at how the production Kia Soul would logically evolve into an all wheel drive capable version to all-wheel drive terrain. says by Tom Kearns.
