The Japanese manufacturer have finally revealed its long awaited Honda Jazz ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. Coming to the UK market this summer.
What’s new for the 2015 Honda Jazz?
Following official images of the new Honda Jazz back in September, Honda have finally wrapped up its stylish, spacious supermini Jazz for the Geneva motor show. It will arrive in the UK market this summer nearly 18 months after it going on sale in home country Japan badged as the ‘Fit’.
DESIGN AND STYLING :
According to Honda, the Jazz features a bold and sophisticated design. The bold X-shape of the face rises around the lower edge of the headlamps over the bonnet and along the roof line to the roof spoiler.
The cabin has been enhanced with soft touch and quality materials. The steering wheel is mounted with a remote control for easy access to functions and enables drivers to switch between various information views on the centre console touch screen.
Honda’s connect system displays relevant vehicle information such as fuel economy, trip meter and journey time. The system also synchronise with smart phones, and other multimedia devices through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI and USB.
The Honda Jazz features class leading boot capacity of 354 litres with rear seats up and 884 litres with rear seats down. The boot space is higher than all its rivals including Skoda Fabia’s 300 litres boot.
To achieve a full five star rating from EuroNcap, all the Honda Jazz (except the entry level) models comes with Advance Driver Assist Systems that include intelligent speed assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, high beam support and traffic sign recognition system. Honda’s city brake active system comes as standard on the Jazz.
The new Honda Jazz will be powered by a new and powerful, efficient 102bhp (brake horsepower) 1.3 litre petrol engine mated with a six speed manual gearbox or optional semi automatic CVT transmission. The new Jazz is lighter than its outgoing version.
Thanks to its lighter suspension components and a longer wheelbase it allows a more comfortable ride, whilst the electric power steering offers quick feedback to the driver.
