Ford Kuga received engine updates

Ford Kuga has received significant range of upgrades including powerful diesel powertrain for better capability and efficiency.

Ford has refreshed its popular 4*4 SUV – Ford Kuga that helps to reduce fuel consumption and lower emissions including Auto start and stop and Active Grille Shutter available as standard in all the trim models…

Engine Updates :

Ford’s 2.0 litre TDCi diesel engine is the most powerful engine powered by 83 percent of the Kuga models sold in the main 20 European markets in just first nine months of 2014. The refreshed 2.0 litre diesel engine power has been increased by 17 PS to 180 PS and peak torque to 400 Nm, up from 340 Nm delivers 10 percent more power and emits 19g/km less CO2.. This update will deliver the most pulling power ever for Kuga, particularly when combined with Ford’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system that is chosen by most customers.

The new 1.5 litre EcoBoost petrol engine also introduced in Ford Kuga that replacing the outgoing 1.6 litre engine – which reduces CO2 emission to 143g/km from 154g/km. That pushes the car down in VED band from £180 to £145 a year.

 Also, Ford will offer a 120 PS 2.0-litre TDCi option that delivers 122 g/km CO2* – an improvement of 12 per cent.

The Ford Kuga will be available in new Tiger Eye Metallic, Ruby Red Metallic and Magnetic Metallic colour for the first time. Kuga models also gets SYNC with AppLink, enables drivers to voice activate apps without using hands.

The cruise control with adjustable speed limit and tyre pressure monitoring system is available as standard in all the Kuga models.

Plenty of additional features also available including blind spot information, active city stop, lane keeping aid, lane keeping alert, auto high beam and traffic sign recognition.
