Volvo has revealed its long awaited all wheel drive V60 Cross Country model, due for release in early 2015.
The Volvo’s cross country heritage started far back in 1997 when the company has introduced its V70 Cross Country model given a rugged and load-lugger look and now here we have all-new V60 Cross Country coming with same off road capabilities.
The company says, the V60 Cross Country brings together with best of both worlds – sportiness yet comfortable driving experience with the freedom to explorer new horizons.
Overall, V60 Cross country model increased by 65mm height than current V60 model and comes in 18 and 19 inch size of alloy wheels. The car gets high profile tyres to work on any off road aesthetics, reducing road noise and providing wheel protection. Interior changes are limited to black leather sports seats with brown stitching. The construction of the car to offer unparallel control on and off the beaten track, coupled with an enhanced sporty driving experience.
The Volvo V60 has always been an successful model for the company and has continually been in the top 3 of the sales charts since it launched. In 2013, the company has given some mild updates to V60 including new front and rear along with a host of features updates. To further extend, at the end of 2014, V60 received a brand new drive-E 2.0 litre four cylinder 181hp diesel engine. For the Cross Country model, UK buyers will get three choice of diesel engines including D3 FWD, D4 FWD and D4 AWD.
The prices and specification needs to be announced yet, however the orders will be open to place during first quarter of 2015 and deliveries are expected around June 2015.
