Recently The AA has placed an order for 343 Ford Transit customer Vans.

Sarah Dopson, AA head of fleet, said: “We looked at all the usual factors – acquisition price, depreciation, servicing and maintenance costs, running costs including fuel economy – and the Transit Custom came out top. Deliveries of the new vehicles will be complete by November, in time for our busiest period for call-outs.”

Delivery priorities, the transit custom vans are a mix of 310 and 330 L1 models. It undergoes to AA’s new contract recovery trailer to allow the partial lift and recovery of broken down vehicles.

Ford is already supplying around 3000 Ford cars a year with mix on Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta to AA driving school.  AA driving school is one of the big name teaching thousands of new drivers in Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus. Ford is roughly supplying half Fiesta and half Focus orders to AA driving school. The Ford is being supplying Ford cars since 1998, whereas Fiesta model is favorite by the AA driving school instructors.

Direct sales manager for Ford of Britain, Paul Henderson said “The 1.0 EcoBoost Fiesta is a remarkably fuel efficient vehicle and yet it has all the power you might expect of a car equipped with a larger engine. It is very flexible, easy to control and is ideal for the learner driver, too, so it is no surprise to see this model reinforcing and driving forward Ford’s long association with the AA Driving School.”
