Ford Mondeo has made its European debut with new integral link rear suspension for optimised interior comfort and refinement.
The all new Ford Mondeo have got a centre attention on the American’s manufacturer’s stand at the Paris motor show. Since 2012, Mondeo has been selling in the US badged Ford Fusion, for European market took time due to production constraints.
However, finally Mondeo has been released for European market in range of engines and specifications. The Mondeo is available in different body styles – five door hatchback, five door estate and reintroduction of four door saloon.

The all new Mondeo features a sports coupe profile with low roofline and panoramic glass roof for the estate body style. The front end design features trapezoidal grille, power chrome bonnet and slim, laser headlamp design. All over it gives elegant, sporty and highly expressive exterior.

The interior changes of the Mondeo delivers excellent comfort levels, refinement and sophistication. A wide range of new interior features is introduced one the new Mondeo includes new LED interior lighting, improved audio and Sat-Nav systems and premium sound system option.
Mondeo adds new SYNC 2 voice control connectivity system that comes with high definition eight inch touch screen for easy operation of phone, entertainment, climate, navigation systems and is delivered via Bluetooth, USB and SD card ports.
Ford Mondeo Engines

Diesel engines are the core of the range, will be available in three choice of 2.0 litre and 1.6 litre available. The 1.6 litre diesel engine is the most powerful and economical engine delivers co2 emissions of 94g/km.
The petrol engine adds award winning 1.0 litre Ecoboost engine along with 1.5 and 2.0 litre engine . The 1.0 litre engine we have seen in Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus.
The 1478bhp and 178bhp versions of 2.0 litre diesel engine will be available in either front wheel drive and four wheel drive. All the engines comes with auto stop and start system to improve fuel efficiency as standard.
Mondeo Saloon available in Hybrid technology
The first time Ford company introducing its first ever hybrid engine along with Mondeo, will be assembled alongside petrol and diesel engine.
Like the sister model Fusion hybrid in the US, Mondeo Hybrid, uses Ford petrol electric hybrid system that delivers the efficiency and refinement benefits of an electric power strain. Hybrid model is powerful too, capable of speeds up to 85mph in electric mode and the combination of petrol and electric drivetrain delivers excellent fuel efficiency of 67.3mpg and 99h/km co2.
The saloon version of Mondeo will be available in hybrid using 2.0 litre petrol engine.
Ford Mondeo Safety

Ford Mondeo is made with strong materials adds strength and improved safety with reduced weight and enhanced sustainability.
The new features adds autonomous braking, pedestrian detection technology to avoid accidents, collision assist recognise people walking in the road ahead. If it detects an imminent collision, first it gives audible warning sounds and the brakes are primed for action and if the warnings are ignored then car applies the brake automatically. The system is run by Active City Stop applies the brakes at speeds of up to 25mph.
Whereas Pre Collision assist technology uses radar and cameras to scan up to 200m ahead and react to applying up to full braking force if required. The forward facing cameras helps in lane keeping aid and traffic sign recognition.
Ford Mondeo Rivals
Mazda 6 sounds very affordable to run, offers low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions to run as either a private or a company car. The 148bhp 2.2 litre diesel engine is seriously strong and flexible.
